I live near Aberdeen in a quiet bit of the countryside. I live with my husband George and
two sons David and Stewart. We have various forms of livestock comprising of six dogs, two cats and one hen! I work at the main hospital in Aberdeen as a Bank Staff Nurse and do various other nursing jobs when necessary. I enjoy showing my dogs at dog shows and enjoy the driving that requires. I travel a few thousand miles a year, and my poor car has the miles on the clock to prove it! The breed of dog that I show is called the Skye Terrier, a very hairy dog to have around the house. My favourite is Dougie who is a drop eared Skye Terrier. I occasionally breed a litter of pups, but not too often as this involves a lot of work and the worry of finding good homes for them.
I also enjoy open canoeing, which is something that I have not done for a long time now. I did a coaching course a few years ago which was quite an experience. Learning how to get back into a canoe after having been told to "jump out" of it is not for the faint hearted!
I enjoy travel especially to the Scandinavian countries. I enjoyed a trip a couple of years ago to Norway to the Winter Olympics in Lillehammer. It was a wonderful experience and one to remember.
I am slowly coming to terms with this machine. It dominates our lives as my husband works with them all day and then has other commitments requiring the use of "IT".
